01The challenge
Too many tools between an order and a delivery.
Dropshippers were juggling suppliers, orders, shipments and margins across separate tools and spreadsheets.
Our role: Concept, product design, front end, back end and production deployment.
02Project goals
What U-Send needed to do.
Connect wholesalers and dropshippers
Give wholesalers a place to list products and give dropshippers a simple way to find them and add them to their stores.
Take the manual work out of operations
Bring sourcing, fulfilment and inventory into one workflow, and automate the repetitive steps between them.
Open up new partnerships
Make it easier for both sides to find each other, source new products and grow sales together.
Build for adoption
Keep the product clear enough that new merchants could connect a store and start trading without hand-holding.
03What we built
One workspace for the whole order lifecycle.
Merchant dashboard
Revenue, cost of goods and current balance at a glance, compared with the previous day.
Order pipeline
Every order tracked through waiting, processing, shipped and failed, with ageing so late orders stand out.
Disputes and returns
Open disputes surfaced in one attention panel, each with how long it has waited and a direct reply action.
Product sourcing and quotes
Store prices shown beside supplier quotes, so merchants can see their margin before they commit.
Real-time shipment tracking
Shipment status updates in one view, instead of checking carriers one by one.
Shared team workspace
Merchants, their assistants and customer service working from the same orders and messages.

04How we delivered
From first workshop to production.

02

Wireframes, prototypes and the interface design for merchants and wholesalers.
03
Build
Front end, back end and database, developed and tested iteratively.
04
Launch
Production deployment after QA, with backups and monitoring in place.
